G‑001 / Who We Are
Family-owned. Built right. Since 1996.
Most of our work comes from people who already know us — repeat clients and referrals from neighbors. It’s the highest compliment a contractor can get, and we’ve earned it the same way every time.
A simple idea, 30 years in.
Jimmy’s Home Improvement is a family-owned and operated contracting company. We’ve been renovating homes in Westchester County and New York City for 30 years, with one consistent goal: do excellent work and treat every client like a neighbor.
We specialize in bathroom and kitchen remodeling, painting and plastering, decks, power washing, flooring, and tiling — plus expertise in many other types of remodeling. If it has to do with improving your home, there’s a good chance we’ve done it before.
The business is run by Jimmy Tahiraj. You won’t deal with a salesperson or a project coordinator you’ve never met — Jimmy is on every estimate, and the same crew is on your job from demolition to final walkthrough.

How we run a project.
Every project starts with a conversation. We come to your site, listen to what you want to accomplish, and walk you through what’s realistic for your timeline and budget. You get a clear written estimate before any work begins — no vague pricing, no surprise charges later.
During the project, you’ll have a single point of contact, and the same crew on your site every day. We clean up at the end of every workday. We stick around after completion to handle anything that comes up.
If something goes wrong — and on home improvement projects, things occasionally do — you’ll hear about it from us first, with a plan to fix it. That’s the difference between a one-off job and a thirty-year referral business.
